On April 24, 2026, we returned to SDN 5 Kuta in Badung as part of the OceanHero Goes to School program, with 24 volunteers and 44 children taking part.
Sorting, Category by Category
The session focused on waste: what it is, and how to separate it according to type. It is a small piece of knowledge with a long tail — a child who learns to sort at seven does not need to be persuaded at twenty.
Building the Habit Early
What we are after is not a single good afternoon but a habit that outlasts it. If sorting waste becomes something these children simply do, without deciding to each time, the session did its job.
