On August 29, 2026, we ran an environmental education session at Rumah Belajar Sentir in Gianyar, with 15 volunteers and 35 children.

Pitched for the Age in the Room
This session stayed with the fundamentals, explained simply: what it means to keep your surroundings clean, why nature is worth looking after, and which small habits are worth building now. With younger children, the trick is not simplifying the message but finding the version of it they can act on today.
Learning That Holds
Interactive activities carried most of the session, because a child who has done something remembers it far longer than one who has been told it. By the end, the group could name what belongs where and why it matters — which is exactly where we want a first session to land.
