On May 9, 2026, we made our fifth visit to SDN 1 Punggul as part of the EcoJoy program, with 25 volunteers and 90 children.

Sorting, and Why It Matters Daily

This session came back to waste separation and to the small everyday habits that keep an environment clean. By the fifth visit the basics are familiar, which frees the time up for practice rather than introduction.

Games as Part of the Lesson

The children and volunteers spent a good part of the day on outdoor games and group activities. That is not filler — it is what keeps a room of ninety children engaged long enough for anything to stick, and it builds the kind of rapport that makes the next visit easier.
