On May 30, 2026, we returned to SDN 1 Bongkasa in Badung, this time with 10 volunteers and 70 students.
The Same Lesson, One Step Further
We picked up where the previous visit left off: how unsorted waste becomes a problem in everyday life, and why separating it by type is the first thing that changes. With the groundwork already laid, we could move faster into the practical part.
Making Something Out of It
The students spent the session building simple crafts from recycled materials. Watching a discarded object become something you would keep is a far more convincing argument for recycling than any explanation of it — and it is the argument the children make to themselves.
