On May 2, 2026, we returned to Wana Segara Kertih in Badung for the second session of the Ecomora program — this time to plant rather than to collect.

Fifty and Fifty
50 volunteers put 50 mangrove saplings into the ground. Mangroves are the quiet infrastructure of a healthy coast: they hold the shoreline together, shelter young fish, and catch what the tide brings in. Planting them is slower work than a clean-up, and it pays out over years rather than hours.
What Ecomora Stands For
Ecomora — Ecological Movement for Environment Restoration: Discover, Create, and Protect Bali's Nature — is built around exactly this idea. Removing waste treats the symptom; restoring the ecosystem that catches it is the longer game, and both belong in the same program.
